#MISSION #ACCOMPLISHED
The year is 2018. I am in campus, & I am getting serious with writing. A friend, now miles away in the Americas, texts & he’s like, “there’s a guy you need to meet.”
Thus, One Friday evening, I slide into my favourite Jacket & saunter into Sarit. At Newscafe, we sit on the terrace overlooking the parking. It’s a wild night, filled with possibility. All around us, Newscafe is erupting, a cacophony of conversations.
His name is Daniel & that is the beginning of an odyssey. This is a story about friendship, mentorship, grit, learning, life & much more. If the world was my inkstand, I would run out of paper.
The copy of this book, he was supposed to receive it in 2021. But then, life happened. Osho says, “you plan & God laughs.” When everything was set to go, my world came crumbling down. Sometimes you have to cut & run. I stopped everything I was doing and went down under.
In spite of this, deep down, I knew there was one project I had to finish. When the tempest faded, when the skies cleared, when the sea was calm, I came back with one mission, one goal.
For the longest time, I’ve always wanted to share my stories to the world. And no format is more friendly than a book. This is the culmination of over two decades of observing, dreaming, imagining & creating. This book is for everyone who feels like a stranger. This is a book for everyone who has undergone transformation, metamorphosis, shed the old skin. This book is for my generation & you reading this, somewhere inside there’s something about you.
Last Saturday, I picked the copies hot from the printer. The first copy had to go to this man. All through my writing journey, he has been there every step of the way. Through a stranger, I met another stranger, and here we are.
